What is GEAC?
The GEAC is an interdisciplinary group of scientific and academic research and dissemination, which depends on CONICET, Argentina. Our approach on the projects on the ecology of coastal environments with perspectives that are born in the biological and social sciences and that we translate into publications in specialized magazines. We do basic and applied science, we train specialized human resources (Graduates and Doctors) and we carry out initiatives for the dissemination and socialization of science through publication, organization of congresses, giving talks and the preparation of didactic materials. Part of our social outreach implies active participation in the formulation of environmental management regulations at the local, national and international level, mainly in the field of ecology of marine and terrestrial biological invasions.
