Postgraduate course: Marine biological invasions
Avalado por la Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia San Juan Bosco (Resolución Digital DFCNyCS Nº 473 / 2026).
This course will present the theoretical and practical foundations of one of the most significant drivers of biodiversity change globally: biological invasions. The overall objective is to present and update concepts, problems, controversies, and solutions associated with biological invasions in marine and coastal environments.
By the end of the course, participants are expected to understand the different concepts, the most widely accepted theoretical frameworks, the mechanisms of species dispersal in the sea, the variety of impacts caused by the introduction of species, the human dimensions involved, and possible solutions for addressing this issue at the research, management, and governance levels.
Pre-registration is open until June 15, 2026. Complete the pre-registration form
