Principles and methodologies. Main limitations to taxonomic identification. Taxonomic errors and their consequences in paleoenvironmental reconstruction. Paleobiology of conservation. Taxonomy-Ecology and Fisheries Biology Interaction. Consequences of taxonomic malpractice in understudied and highly diverse taxa. Biological invasions: Concepts and taxonomic definitions of ecological importance. Taxonomic errors and their impact on the study and management of biological invasions.
